Ashiatsu is back!

Ashiatsu Masage is a wonderful form of massage therapy that uses feet instead of hands.

Pressure:
The client who prefers deeper techniques will absolutely love this modality. Clients who prefer less pressure, have no fear. Pressure is completely controlled by the therapist's use of body weight. Ashiatsu can be the deepest of deep or the lightest of light depending on your preferences.

Feet? Really?
It may be a strange idea at first, but if you think about it feet are a better massage tool than hands and elbows. They are broader, which allow for deeper pressure that is not uncomfortable or painful. They are more rounded, the edge of the heel and ball of the foot are perfectly designed to compress the muscles along the spine. And they are more padded, fingers and elbows are bony little massage tools.

Foot Care:
Ashiatsu therapists take great pride in their feet. I use lotion to keep our feet soft and smooth. Most clients say they would never have guessed I was using my foot instead of my hand because they would never imagine feet could be that smooth. Nails are kept trim and filed so that they never scratch the client.

Hygiene:
Just as I wash my hands before a traditional massage, I clean my feet before every Ashiatsu massage as well. Hygiene is of the utmost importance to me. Feet are warmed and sanitized just before I step on the table.

There is only so much words can do to describe this indescribable experience. Call (757) 619-5291 to try it for yourself!
